BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Jayda Berg earned NSIC Pitcher of the Week after striking out 27 batters in 23 innings with zero earned runs and a 3-0 record.

Berg, a junior from Coon Valey, Wis. helped the Warriors softball team to a 6-1 week against Grand View University in a double header and a solid showing at the NCAA DII Invitational.

Berg opened the 2026 season with three complete-game wins and allowed only two unearned runs with seven hits in her 23 innings pitched. Continuing her success, Berg was able to strike out 27 batters and gave up zero earned runs while holding a WHIP of .430. Berg was able to strike out 14 batters in a win against Southwest Baptist and strike out nine in a win against Grand View.

Winona State (6-1, 0-0 NSIC) is in action next Saturday as they travel to Rosemont, Ill. for the Lewis Dome Invitational and will start off with Wayne State University at 6:00pm.
