Warrior Hall of Fame
Christine (Pekelsma) Hanchin remains one of the most decorated gymnasts in program history and competed on two of the most successful teams in Winona State history. Hanchin was a member of the 1985 and 1987 NAIA National Championship teams and was a three-time All-American honoree. Hanchin earned NAIA All-American honors on the uneven bars in 1985 and 1987, while claiming NCAA All-American honors in 1986. Hanchin also was a strong scholar-athlete, receiving Academic All-American honorable mention accolades in 1987 to close out her illustrious Winona State career.
