Warrior Hall of Fame
Dan Samp was a multi-sport athlete at Winona State but made his mark on the football field. He finished his career in 1974 as the program's career leader in receptions (105), receiving yards (1,475) and touchdown catches (16). He also set a WSU record with eight receiving scores in 1973 while earning all-conference honors as a senior. Samp was also a member of the WSU baseball team, helping the program to conference titles in 1972, 1973 and 1975 while playing in the NAIA World Series in 1972.
